Bangalore: On the issue of lack of children’s security in schools National Women’s Front conducted a protest in Bangalore on 5th November to mount the pressure on the government to take a stern stand and bring about a permanent solution to the problem.
Various demands to the government were highlighted during this protest like avoiding male teaching staff and to appoint female teaching staff for the safety students, examining and ensuring complete compliance of all school licensing documents. The government had introduced tougher anti-rape laws, but these laws too have failed to act as a deterrent. Hence the law need to be more stringent or implemented with greater will.
A memorandum was also submitted to the commissioner of Police. Ayesha Banu NWF Bangalore district president, Basheera district secretary and many other members addressed the protest.
