Rajasthan: Indian women have capability to overcome the grave issues surrounding them and they cannot rely upon others to empower them. The conference “Awakening” which will be held in Coimbatore on 16th November is intended to awaken women’s of India. Publicity program of this conference was organized by Rajasthan on 9th November.
NWF state president Kosar Jahan addressed the gathering with theme speech. She lamented the lack of importance placed on higher education of women even in the 21st century. India lags behind Pakistan and even Nepal in terms of women’s representation in politics.
Chief guest Pooja Chaudhury, principal of Sarvodaya School appreciated the work of NWF and suggested the members of NWF to work in every village of Kota district. Dr Alifa Sayed, retired teacher Sitara Begum and Kota district president of SDPI Women Wings Sanjita Parveen were also present in the occasion. Program concluded with vote of thanks by state general secretary Tabassum.
