Bangalore: The Bangalore district publicity program of National Women Conference “Awakening” was held on 8th November in Darus salam. The “Awakening” conference is strong attempt by NWF to awaken the women of India to realize their responsibility.
NWF Bangalore district president Bibi Ayesha addressed the gathering with the welcome speech followed by theme speech by NWF state general secretary Lubna Siraj. She gave a brief introduction of NWF. She highlighted various crimes against women and specifically brought to attention the serious crime like female foeticide. She stated that such crimes begins even before the birth of a female child where they are killed by illegal abortions.
New Delhi Nov 6: Since ancient times we have seen women facing numerous issues in our country. The central and state governments have failed miserably to uplift women in India. The condition of women in India has only worsen over years. As a sincere effort to highlight these issues to a national scene National Women’s Front is organizing a National Conference “Awakening” in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu on 16th November 2014. The first publicity programme of this conference in the state was today held at Ghalib Academy, New Delhi.
Bangalore: On the issue of lack of children’s security in schools National Women’s Front conducted a protest in Bangalore on 5th November to mount the pressure on the government to take a stern stand and bring about a permanent solution to the problem.
Various demands to the government were highlighted during this protest like avoiding male teaching staff and to appoint female teaching staff for the safety students, examining and ensuring complete compliance of all school licensing documents. The government had introduced tougher anti-rape laws, but these laws too have failed to act as a deterrent. Hence the law need to be more stringent or implemented with greater will.
Tamil Nadu state publicity program of national women’s conference (Awakening) was held here in Madurai on 26th October. Fathima Alima NWF national vice president in her theme speech said that violence against women is one of the most serious problems faced by women globally.
The crime against women begins even before the birth where they are killed by illegal abortions. The “Awakening” conference is strong attempt by the National Women’s Front to awaken the women of India to realize their responsibility.
NWF state president Rajiya Banu also highlighted about women’s rights in her presidential address. Followed by the guest SDPI women’s wing state leader Arokiya Mari also spoke on the seminar.
